Health

Health is invaluable. A healthy individual can educate themselves, work, and sustain their family. Conversely, an ailing person faces struggles, causing distress to their family and community.

Reducing health issues

In recent years, there's been a surge in non-communicable diseases like cancer, diabetes, and heart ailments. Driven by the spread of unhealthy lifestyles globally and an aging population, these diseases now account for 70% of mortalities. Consequently, our emphasis, mirroring global health authorities, has shifted towards advocating for nutritious diets, physical activity, and routine health screenings.

Our Global Health division is dedicated to leveraging scientific and technological breakthroughs to preserve lives in underdeveloped regions. Collaborating with members, we ensure essential medicines and diagnostic tools reach the most vulnerable. Additionally, we champion maternal and child health and nutrition.

Vaccination for Everyone

In collaboration with our members, we ensure the distribution of potent vaccines, medicines, and diagnostic tools, while pioneering novel methods to provide health services to the most vulnerable. Furthermore, we allocate significant resources towards creating new vaccines to combat the most burdensome infectious diseases.

We go beyond mere advisories. We assist nations in implementing these recommendations, ensuring a broader spectrum of individuals maintain good health. Our members actively collaborate with governments and healthcare experts on-site. Our primary focus has been combating lethal infectious diseases, including smallpox, polio, and diphtheria. Consequently, the Expanded Program on Immunization has vaccinated and safeguarded the lives of countless children.

Access to clean water

Over the past century, the availability of antibiotics, coupled with clean water and improved sanitation, has significantly bolstered the prevention of infectious diseases.

Today's paramount challenge lies in preserving the efficacy of antibiotics and guaranteeing global access to clean water and sanitation to thwart infections.

The chasm between the wealthy and the disadvantaged is glaringly evident in the unequal access to clean water and safe sanitation.
